Information For Project Site Maintainers
Project site maintainers must claim their OWL Sakai project site and transition content off OWL Sakai to alternative solutions by April 30, 2026.
Please delete Project Sites that are no longer needed. Deleting a Project Site can happen at any time. Once deleted, a Project Site will not appear on your list.
About Site Maintainers
Project Sites must have a current Western (or Affiliate) Employee in the "Maintain" role. You can assign or remove the "Maintain" role to your project site through the Site Info tab. Please contact the WTS Helpdesk for assistance if you don't have access to make this change.
Support Resources
WTS is committed to supporting you in the transition/migration of your claimed Project Sites by April 30, 2026, and will provide:
- Instructions and information to ensure project site maintainers have adequate time to move content to alternative solutions as needed, or be migrated to OWL Brightspace, if eligible;
- Information on alternate solutions and information sessions on using Microsoft Teams so that project site maintainers can select the solutions that are best for their use case;
- Instructions and eligibility requirements for migration, and assistance with migrations to OWL Brightspace for eligible sites.
