Information For Project Site Maintainers
Project Sites must be claimed by June 1, 2025 or they will be deleted. More information, including instructions on claiming your Project Site, will be coming mid-April!
Project Site maintainers must transition needed content from Sakai Project Sites to alternative solutions or migrate to OWL Brightspace if eligible by April 30, 2026. At this point, OWL Sakai will no longer be available.
Project Sites must have a current Western (or Affiliate)Employee in the "Maintain" role.
- Learn how to assign the Maintain role to your Project Site. Please contact the WTS Helpdesk for assistance if you do not have access to make this change.
- Please delete Project Sites that are no longer needed. Deleting a Project Site can happen at any time.

WTS is committed to supporting you in the transition/migration of your claimed Project Sites by April 30, 2026, and will provide:
- Instructions and information to ensure project site maintainers have adequate time to move content to alternative solutions as needed, or be migrated to OWL Brightspace, if eligible;
- Information sessions for alternative solutions so that project site maintainers can select the solutions that are best for their use case;
- Instructions and criteria for migration, and assistance with migrations to OWL Brightspace for eligible sites.
