Export Content from Sakai

Lessons 

  1. In your project site, go to the Lessons tool.
  2. Click the Print All button in the top right.
    1. If you want to save each page individually, click Print instead and repeat steps for each page.
  3. In the new window that opens, preview the pages.
  4. Right click on the page and click Print.
  5. Change your print settings to Save as PDF.
  6. Select where you want to save the PDF copy and name the file.
  7. Click Save.

After exporting you will have a PDF copy of your content.

Resources 

  1. In your project site, go to the Resources tool.
  2. Click the Actions dropdown beside the top-level folder.
    1. If you want to export subfolders individually, select the dropdown next to each folder.
  3. Select Compress to ZIP Archive.
  4. Your .zip file will be created in the list of files in Resources (i.e., ProjectSiteName.zip)
  5. Click the new .zip file name to download.
  6. In your .zip file will be a copy of all the files in your Resources folder(s).

After exporting you will have a zip file copy of your content.

Assignments

  1. In your project site, go to the Assignments tool.
  2. Click the Grade Report tab.
  3. Click Download Spreadsheet.
    1. The Excel file will contain student name, student user ID, assignment name, grade/submission status, grade scale, submission status, late status.

After exporting you will have an Excel file copy of your content.

Test and Quizzes

Draft Quizzes

  1. In your project site, go to the Tests and Quizzes tool.
  2. Beside the draft copy a quiz, click the Actions dropdown.
  3. Select Export.
  4. In the next page, select the export format.
    1. Markup text is recommended for a human readable format that can be repurposed.

After exporting you will have a text file copy of your content.

Published Quizzes

  1. In your project site, go to the Tests and Quizzes tool.
  2. Beside thepublished copy of a quiz, click the Actions dropdown.
  3. Select Print.
  4. In the next page, customize your display options.
    1. Show answer key.
    2. Show answer key with feedback.
    3. Show Description/Intro, Part's Title & Information.
    4. Show Numbered Sequences.
    5. Select the font size.
  5. Click the Apply Settings button.
  6. Click the Download PDF button.

After exporting you will have a PDF file copy of your content.

Forums

  1. In your project site, go to the Forums tool.
  2. Click the topic name.
  3. In the top right click Display Message Content.
  4. Click the Print button.
  5. In the print preview that opens, click the printer icon.
    1. Select Save as PDF.
    2. Choose where to save the file and name it.

After exporting you will have a PDF file copy of your content.
