Your Migrated Course

Once your project site has been migrated from OWL Sakai, you will be the Maintainer of your new Supplementary Course in OWL Brightspace.

Assisted Migration Next-Steps

If you selected Assisted Migration, your content will have been copied from OWL Sakai to your Supplementary Course for you. Some clean-up of your content will be necessary.

What to Review:

Course Content Templates are now available to expedite development of your course in OWL Brightspace. Learn more on the Brightspace Help website.
3^rd Party eLearning tools (LTIs) must be re-added to courses. Find more information on LTI tools here.
Review the crosswalk guide.
If you have had Quizzes and Question Pools Migrated, we recommend reviewing the following:
- Verify that questions are not missing images or attachments
- Check for broken links in questions
- Verify that question weights are still correct
- Look for unsupported question types and convert as necessary

A Note About Groups/Sections:
If any of your course tools use Groups/Sections membership for release conditions, these can only be configured once you have added your course members.

If Content Didn't Migrate:

Some tools in OWL Sakai don't have a 1:1 replacement in OWL Brightspace. Maintainers should consider trying the new tools available in OWL Brightspace - see the crosswalk guide to learn more.

Please note that some content, like user data, will not be migrated to OWL Brightspace. For additional support, visit OWL Brightspace Help.

Self-Migration Next-Steps

Once your new Supplementary Course is available in OWL Brightspace, you can begin moving your OWL Sakai content over or start building from scratch.
